ELKHART LAKE, Wis. – Team Pelfrey competed at the stunning Road America circuit for the latest rounds of the Cooper Tires USF2000 Championship Powered by Mazda and the Pro Mazda Championship Presented by Cooper Tires. All of the drivers showed promising pace throughout the event, but incident filled sessions and racing incidents bred frustrating results for the Team Pelfrey outfit. The focus now shifts to the streets of Toronto, where the team will return to action July 13–15 and will be determined to turn speed into results.

“This weekend was a tough one. With lots of factors that were kind of out of our control as a team, and also myself as a driver. For Race Two, we had a bit of bad luck with a wreck in front of us in Turn Five that backed me up a few positions. Then, later on in the race I got driven off to the side by a driver; that was really frustrating, especially after starting the race with good pace, with a better car than we had yesterday and just having it all destroyed by one single driver. I’m really looking forward to having a good event at Toronto. Street courses seem to do me well, as we saw in St. Petersburg, I ran some great lap times there. I’m still just working on my race craft, and it’s improved a lot since then- so I think we’ll have a good event.”

“I think this was a pretty tough weekend as a team in general, but we can take a lot of positives away. I personally think that I learned a lot which is good, and going into Toronto we have a good shot at getting better results. I think that this weekend was just a tough track for us as a team but we’ll get stronger and hopefully we can fight for a podium in Toronto. I’d like to thank the team for all their hard work, and hopefully we can get some better results.”
